The company SAPAG VALVES has a great history with more than 100 years of existence. It began in 1849 with its foundry activity and the creation of a mechanical construction factory for the sugar industry. At the same time, it developed the manufacture of copper pipes under the name of Henry Basset. In 1920, the company started to produce valves to meet the needs of the sugar industry. In 1929 it changed its name to "Les Ateliers de Saint Sulpice". In 1972, the company joined the French group Pont à Mousson, then in 1986 became GRI-SAPAG by joining the French group Alsthom. In 1999, it joined the American group TYCO-Flow Control and became SAPAG, before joining the PENTAIR group and then EMERSON. In 2017, the company became independent again and was named PVI (Picardie valves industries) to join the IPI group in 2019.
In order to give a new dynamic to the company, the IPI group has decided in 2022 to honor the letters of nobility of our company, by highlighting our brand: "SAPAG" symbol of quality and recognized internationally, by renaming the company "SAPAG VALVES".
